MISTER HOLDEN had a good spot rating kindly drafting behind the frontrunner, was on hold in the second flight inside a rival behind the engaged duo at the three furlong pole, found a seam in the two path at the top of the stretch, darted by on the rail inside the furlong pole and just had enough to hold on from the fast closing rival on the outside at the wire. EMBRACE MY UNCLE settled into a good rhythm in mid-pack on the fence, started to get into gear on the rail midway on the last turn, had no running room two wide at the quarter pole behind runners, tried to sneak up inside horses at the furlong pole scraping paint but lost his path, switched out three wide with a sixteenth to run and closed with a rush outside but just missed getting to the winner at the finish line. THREE SONNY SIDEUP was under a snug hold dictating a soft pace up top on the first turn, had company on the outside three furlongs to run, continued to stay in front on the turn inside but was clinging up top three wide by the upper stretch, offered no resistance when the winner drove by leaving the furlong pole and finished up a clear third at the wire. GREY PRINCESS had a stalking role on the rail, settled between horses making no change along the backside, had a sharp turn of foot moving strongly six wide outside horses at the quarter pole, swung out widest carrying all that momentum in upper stretch, could not sustain the rally by the furlong pole and settled for a minor placing in the end. WILBERFORCE travelled in the middle of the pack between foes, offered a mild rally at the five sixteenths pole to be in the mix four wide with runners on each side turning for home but could only finish up one paced down the lane. MEHLEK was allowed to settle trailing on the first turn, improved on the fence into the backstretch, shared the rear again inside another at the five sixteenth pole, was looking for running room three wide at the top of the lane and finished with energy when clear in the final furlong. VALLEY VICTORY tracked the leader going four wide into the first turn, kept a close eye on the pacesetter outside down the back straight, pressed the issue outside at the three furlong pole, dueled three wide in the hunt between rivals in upper stretch but weakened with a furlong still to run. MO TOURIST was situated close the back five wide in the first turn, galloped along three deep with little progression along the backside, rallied four wide between horses making a brief run at the quarter pole, angled out to the six path staying on the incorrect lead down the lane and could not be a factor in the stretch drive. SNOOKERED travelled in midfield going five wide entering the first of two turns, pulled the rider closer under a long line at the half while watching the lead trio, moved well on the outside in the second flight on the second bend, was shuffled back unable to quicken with the outside flow five wide at the top of the stretch and had no finish in the late running. SMART ALMASTY stalked near the rear, trailed down the backside, moved out four wide tried to start a rally midway on the far turn, swung out widest in the seven path in upper stretch but could not get involved.
