Footnotes
ZIPPY GAMBLE was bumped by the inside foe at the start, advanced in the three path to be part of the mix up top with a half mile still to run, hounding the contesting pair three wide outside around the oval, pounced seizing control still in the three path straightening out for the drive with the early leaders getting tired and was kept to the task down the lane holding safely for the victory when crossing the finish line. STERLING HEIGHTS was jostled between runners on the break, recouped to have a nice set up all alone watching the embattled quartet at the half, sat poised inside another measuring the lead threesome in midturn, moved to the four path lacking running room in upper stretch, darting inside to the two path having clear run making a good rally but could not get to the winner late while besting the rest at the wire. MRS. HOT SHOT progressed outside from near the rear leaving the chute to be in the fray four deep at the half, dropped back off the leaders at the three eighths pole, re-engaged four wide at the quarter marker, had the five path in the hunt outside putting the pressure on the winner turning for home but was outkicked in the final sixteenth to be a clear third at the finish line. MISTY EYED broke out at the start, sat contently all alone watching the lone frontrunner leaving the chute, moved in having the two path between foes briefly get ahead in front at the half mile marker, dueled two wide with runners on either side up top throughout the turn, remained in the path still in the mix between rivals at the head of the lane, could not continue on with the winner by the furlong pole and wilted on the fence at the sixteenth pole setttling on the fringes in the end. PICKFORD SWEET was unhurried seeing the field in the backstretch running, continued to lag well behind around the oval, swung out to the four oath for the drive to the wire but could only manage to pass the leg weary early frontrunner who ran out of gas in the final furlong. GIZMO'S B F F was eager loose up top fighting the rider having its head cocked inwards heading into the backstretch, had a trio of outside rivals bearing down at the half, maintained a slim lead battling on the rail throughout the bend, offered no resistance when the winner powered past in upper stretch and folded inside of runners by the furlong pole.
