Footnotes
NOBURU was away slowly seeing the field, co-trailed on the rail at the half mile marker, began to reach for more ground when nudged on at the five sixteenths pole, moved in sharply between horses five wide posing a menacing presence turning for home and was full of run moving the quickest taking control leaving the eighth pole and winning going away when crossing the finish line. MAD WORLD was unhurried setting back of the contentious pace being a joint last outside with the eventual winner at the half, started to come with a run three wide at the five sixteenths pole, swung out widest in the six path gathering more momentum and finished up well enough with the pace collapsing by the furlong marker to best the rest for the place share in the end. ITS IN THE CARDS had an inside tracking position sitting in the pocket, was ridden on at the half, was just holding position while being spurred on with a right- handed crop at the three eighths marker, lacked running room stuck behind the stopping front pair in the two path at the head of the lane and finished up one paced making a re-bid in the final furlong to be well back capturing the show award. CALL ME BOND travelled four wide tracking the lead trio, settled into stride three deep in the second flight along the back straightaway, crept up three wide on the final bend at the quarter pole, took over from the leg weary early speed runners at the furlong for a brief lead but flattened out between horses in the final sixteenth of a mile. BIG SCREEN BOSS had the lead narrowly on the inside of two others heading into the first of two turns, continued to be hounded outside maintaining a slim advantage down the backside, kept a head in front on the fence setting a brisk tempo throughout the final turn and wilted inside being used up from his early efforts fighting up top. DEPUTY CURLIN vied between runners in the beginning, took back off the lively pace by the three quarters marker, was relegated to last by the half, lagged well behind the pack around the far turn and could only manage to passs a very leg weary early speed rival who ran out of gas at the furlong pole. NAVY STREET dueled outside in the first turn, continued to throw it down forcing the pacesetter every step along the backside, was under a drive still fighting up top under a rapid pace for theses around the final bend and had nothing left stopping between horses in the two path by the furlong marker.
