FLY TRUE NORTH moved in to press the pace on the fence at the five furlong marker, took back letting the frontrunner go on with in by the three eighths pole, chased in earnest throughout the turn, shifted to the two path at the top of the stretch and never wavered in the stretch drive and closed in resolutely in the final furlong to get up in the shadow of the wire for the gutsy win. ATLANTIC PASSAGE was away alertly getting the early advantage, had company inside forcing the pace by the five eighths pole, open up again in hand moving comfortably at the three eighths pole, hugged the rail in control at the top of the stretch, kept digging up to the wire but could not withstand the tenacious charge by the winner when getting nabbed outside just before the wire for the win. DEFINITE DIVA was brushed on the outside on the break, co-trailed on the inside finding her stride at the half, could see the field around the bend, shifted outside at the quarter pole gathering speed, swung out gaining momentum widest in the six path turning for home and had a good late run losing in gradually outside foes in the final furlong to capture the show money while not far off the winner at the finish line. ARTFUL DIAMOND had the outside position in tandem with a runner keeping a close eye on the contesting duo inthe early stages, rallied when called upon for more three wide at the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the four oath in the conversation up front in upper stretch but evened out in the final furlong holding for only a minor placing. PARTY HOTLINE shared the rear outside down the back straightaway, started to come wth a brief spurt around horses four wide at the quarter pole, angled to the five path for the stretch running but lacked a rally between rivals in the final sixteenth. KIMBERLINA settled on the inside of another tracking the engaged duo down the backside, was hard ridden but could not quicken with rivals midway around the bend, still had a chance in the two path at the head of the lane with the field tightly compacted but weakened inside with seventy yards from home.
