Footnotes
KNOWING had an ideal set up, all alone down the backside watching the contesting pair at the half, moved in three wide between rivals fighting for the front end at the quarter pole, posed the main threat in the three path at the top of the stretch and determinedly wore down the leader in the final seventy yards for the win. LIVININTHEFASTLANE pressed the pace inside down the backstretch, poked his head in front taking the short way around at the three furlong pole, narrowly was holding onto the lead having the fence with three others runners bearing down outside at the quarter marker, spurted away finding more in upper stretch, moved well to the wire but just could not fend off the winner outside in deep stretch. SWITZLER JAMMIN angled inwards at the break, sat in midfield in the early going, closed the gap travelling in hand smartly with five sixteenths to go, was poised looming up behind the embattled foursome at the quarter pole, moved in finding a seam two wide in the thick of things at the top of the stretch, darted to the rail with a sixteenth to go but evened out late and had to settle for the show award in the end. FRIENDLY was bumped from the outside soon after the break, stumbled afterwards appearing to clip heels with another foe leaving the chute, trailed the field down the backside, shifted out at the five sixteenths pole starting to reach for more ground, finished with good intent splitting tired runners at the furlong pole and settled for a minor share in the end under a solid showing considering the circumstances. DEVIL'S TONGUE was in tight being pushed inwards by the outside rival on the break, stalked ahead of only the troubled runner down the backside, offered a sharp but brief run circling horses four wide arguing outside for the lead with a quarter mile to run, could not sustain the rally when floated out to the five path turning for home and wilted by mid-stretch. DILWAALA was hustled early on for a slim advantage outside down the back straight, vied between horses in the two path up top in midturn, had little left to offer three wide between foes at the top of the lane and folded in upper stretch. RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #2 FRIENDLY AGAINST #4 SWITZLER JAMMIN SOON AFTER THE START WAS DISALLOWED
