Footnotes
SNOOKERED settled in midfield going four wide outside foes initially on the first turn, made a savvy move getting to the fence being throttled down at the three-quarter pole to keep a close eye on the lead three down the backside, inched up saving all the ground on the far turn, hugged the rail with a burst inside at the top of the lane, grinded up the fence at the furlong marker fighting for the lead and determinedly just out finished a stubborn rival timing the nod at the wire for the gutsy win. NONNO'S LITTLE BOY was unhurried trailing down the backside, improved going three deep outside horses at the half, began to pick up runners circling four wide midway through the turn, seized command outside in the four path in upper stretch, dug in stubbornly outside to the very end but was nosed out in a thrilling finish at the wire. GOOD SIN tossed his head on the break, stalked ahead of only one runner making little progress along the backside, was roused but was relegated to last at the three eighths pole, started to come with a good run four wide outside foes at the quarter marker, angled to thew five path for the drive, had no chance on the top pair who had it to themselves at the furlong pole but finished up well enough still to be a clear but distant third at the wire. SAMMY STONE was eager pulling the rider up front entering the first turn, pressed the pace relinquishing the front into the backstretch, regained command at the half on the rail, was hard ridden at the five sixteenths pole hearing oncoming rivals, was collared in the two path at the top of the stretch, had no answer when engulfed by the top pair at the furlong pole and faded in deep stretch saving for a minor role at the finish line. NORTH WARDEN had a tracking spot travelling three wide into the first of two turns, was reined back watching the engage duo along the back straight, offered a mild run in the two path around the second turn, moved out three wide turning for home but wilted by the furlong pole. RAPTURE BAY had inside position tracking the pacesetter in the beginning, took over up top outside into the backstretch, had little left retreating in the two path between horses on the final turn and emptied out at the top of the stretch.
