Footnotes
CELESTIAL HEART settled between runners four wide close to the back, had the rear between horses in a clustered bunch with a half mile still to run, remained at the tail end on the fence at the quarter marker, started to make a move picking up the bit in the three path at the furlong pole, charged up to take the lead at the seventy yard marker and was kept to the task to just hold safe for the late running win. KAIROS MOMENT broke a step slow on the break, trailed the field two wide on the initial bend, took closer order at the half, had the fence being ridden for more but was regressing at the midpoint of the final turn, shifted to the five path at the top of the stretch, angled inwards to the three path off the troubled leaders when closing in at the furlong pole and with one final surge in deep stretch just missed getting to the winner at the wire. MESSY RIDING had the lead inside under a snug hold, slackened the pace unchallenged at the midpoint of the backstretch, was nursed along on the rail still in control through the final turn, had the four path holding on inside in upper stretch, was getting out considerably with the rider trying his best to holding for the win and keep a straight path but continued to get out leg weary even though under a right handed crop and tired in deep stretch carrying an outside rival with him at the wire. AUDI'S WORLD was forwardly placed nestled on the rail sitting behind the pacesetter, shifted out midway along the backside improving three deep at the half, was scrubbed on with the rider wanting to go after the frontrunner at the five sixteenths pole, loomed boldly outside in the five path in upper stretch but was forced out by the bearing out leader in the final furlong unable to be ridden for more and eventually having to be checked nearing the wire. PRIME RATE was hustled on the outside in the beginning chasing the front runner, continued giving chase between foes midway along the back straight, was hard ridden but the lead pair was slipping away at the five sixteenths pole, hugged the rail coming entering the stretch coming back on again by the furlong marker but could not continue the late rally and wilted inside runners in the final sixteenth of a mile. PROUDLY CANADIAN was in tight having to be checked between horses at the seventy-yard marker with one lap still remaining, was floated out five wide on the first of two turns, continued with the overland route narrowing the margin five deep at the half, tried to make a circling move three wide around the far turn with some progression, swung out widest to the six path straightening out for the drive but gave way by the furlong pole. HIGH BEAM shifted out to the three path between runners in midfield pushing out a couple of runners heading into the first bend, travelled four deep with rivals on either side in mid-pack in a tight knit group at the half, came under a drive two wide but was retreating throughout the far turn and emptied out in the four path turning for home. RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL AND STEWARDS INQUIRY #1 AUDI'S WORD AGAINST #5 MESSY RIDING IN THE FINAL FURLONG RESULTED IN #5 MESSY RIDING BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED FOURTH FOR INTERFERENCE
