Footnotes
LAMIRADA prompted the pace outside three deep in the beginning, moved to the lead comfortably travelling on the outside clearing away up top by the half, had a high cruising speed in hand unchallenged setting a brisk pace around the turn on the engine, skimmed the fence opening up ease straightening out for the drive, won going away urged only once at the sixteenth pole then was geared down simply overpowering the field when crossing the wire. EPIC AFFAIR settled close to the back on the inside, closed in smartly under a snug hold two wide midway through the turn, had to be throttled down having to wait behind two runners at the quarter marker, found a seam shifting to the three path in upper stretch making a sharp move quickly improving to the second-place position, could not threaten the dominant winner in the final furlong but still dug in stubbornly in the late going to save the runners up share at the finish line from a fast closing outside foe. CATTRALL buckled on the break trailing the field angling to the outside down the back straightaway, started to come with a run on the fence at the five sixteenths pole, shifted out three wide at the quarter marker picking up more speed, swung out widest in the seven path full of run at the head of the lane and charged home strongly outside just missing for the place share with one final push at the wire. FROM TIME TO TIME was quick out of the gate having the early lead leaving the chute, surrendered the front midway down the backside to an outside foe, chased in vain on the turn being nudged for more but losing ground to the winner and evened out in the two path by the furlong pole to settle on the fringes in the end. MADELEINE SWANN traded brushes with the outside foe on the start, tracked the front duo inside another early on, shifted out at the half taking closer order, edged up on the stablemate for a fleeting moment two wide in midturn, was bearing out at the quarter pole pushing out runners while in the five path when turning for home and faded inside horses at the furlong pole. TRACTION PARK exchanged brushes with the inside runner on the break, had the outside tracking position in the second flight down the backside, regressed outside three wide in midturn, started to make a brief run but was floated out by the inside rival to be six wide between horses at the top of the stretch and could not find more in the stretch running when weakening at the furlong pole. HOPE IS A BREEZE settled near the rear on the outside, travelled two wide on the outside but had little through the turn being relegated to last by the five sixteenths with a rival making a run on the rail, was forced out by the inside runner while giving way four wide at the quarter pole and emptied out in upper stretch.
