Footnotes
KINETIC STONE was nudged for more seizing control early on, set an even tempo with the rider still in the saddle unchallenged throughout the turn, was urged for more at the quarter pole, spurted away to increase the advantage in upper stretch and under a well rated ride while still being kept busy in deep stretch, had just enough left to hold off the fast oncoming rival at the wire. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE was content having the fence keeping a close eye on the pacesetter down the backside, was roused to go after the leader at the quarter pole, began to reach for more ground posing the only threat with the winner edging further away in upper stretch, found another gear at the furlong marker and closed with a rush but just could not get there at the wire. SILENT MIRACLE was unhurried trailing along the backside, made a sharp rally quickly going by runners inside on the fence at the five sixteenths pole to be in the thick of things two wide in upper stretch, evened out by the furlong marker and finished up a clear but distant third at the wire. NAPA SPIRIT (IRE) settled with runners on each side in the four path having a tracking position, made little headway three wide between foes in mid-pack around the oval, angled four wide at the top of the lane and ran on mildly outside rivals in the last sixteenth to get up at the wire to be a fringe player in the end. BANKER'S HOURS travelled five deep keeping in touch with the loose pacesetter down the back straight, took the overland route improving four wide outside horses on the bend, shifted to the three path in with a chance for a piece of the prize in upper stretch, moved to the rail by the furlong pole but faded in deep stretch just getting nabbed for a minor placing. SMALL TALK was under a snug hold tracking between foes at the half, came under a ride but could not quicken with rivals on both sides who were making a run at the five sixteenths pole, moved to the rail for the drive to the wire but could not factor in the stretch running. TRICKY MAGICIAN was part of the fivesome watching the lone speed while sitting in the three path down the backside between foes, dropped back while under encouragement at the three-furlong pole, lagged well behind turning for home and failed to menace in the late stages.
