Footnotes
MEILANI broke out on the start, had an ideal trip nestled on the fence behind the contesting pair, continued to be tucked in with the group very compact at the half while watching the engaged trio duel on the lead, waited for the cue to move behind the pacesetter through the final turn, skimmed the rail straightening for the drive, shot through at the furlong pole when called upon and won going away at the wire. LAPIN DE PLAGE had a slim lead on the rail in the first turn, kept her head in front slowing the pace down considerably bunching up the field getting a breather at the half, edged away for a clear advantage midway on the far turn, had rivals bearing down on each side clinging up top two wide at the top of the lane, was no match when the winner powered by on the fence at the furlong pole but did dig in late to last inside at the wire for the runners up share in a tight picture. LA CULASSE broke inwards brushing the gate at the start, had an outside stalking position in the early stages, improved slightly to sit in mid-pack at the half, came with a good run four wide outside runners two furlongs out, swung out widest in the five path turning for home and finished up willingly on the outside just missing out for the second money in the end. SCOTCH MIST was antsy in the stall prior to the break, had the rail stalking near the rear on the first turn, could see the field not too far back with the pack tightly bunched at the half, started to make a move closing the gap three wide between horses at the quarter pole, angled to the four path in the mix at the top of the lane and finished up mildly between rivals late but being on the losing end of a three way photo for the place share at the wire. ON MY TIME hounded the pace on the outside, vied between rivals with a half mile to run, retreated in the two path with horses on either side at the quarter pole and emptied out inside runners with a furlong to go. PINA COLADA hopped slightly while breaking outwards on the start, was allowed to settle at the rear in the beginning, advanced quickly making a premature move four deep along the backstretch to bid for the lead outside by the half mile marker, came under a ride three wide outside runners trying to hold forward position on the final turn, had little left to give three wide between foes in upper stretch and folded at the furlong marker.
