Footnotes
WAGNER dueled on the rail after the break, made a savvy move taken back off the pace to sit in the second flight behind the engaged duo at the half, bided his time inside another watching the embattled trio around the bend, pounced, splitting runners three wide at the top of the lane, opened up sharply by the furlong pole and was kept busy late, improving the winning margin at the finish line. SECRET THREAT had rail position tracking down the backstretch, moved in the argue up top on the fence at the three furlong pole, battled inside up front around the oval still in the thick of things on the rail in upper stretch,, could not go with the overpowering winner a furlong from home but did stubbornly fight on to save the runners up share needing a picture at the wire for the outcome. BACKONTHECHAINGANG tracked three deep down the backstretch, continued three wide hounding the lead pair outside through the turn, moved closer in the hunt four wide straightening out for home, ran on willingly battling for second money with the winner long gone by the furlong pole and settled for the show award in a tight finish for the minors at the wire. FRAC RIGHT vied between horses early on, dropped back to last under hard restraint at the half, took the short way around the turn waiting for the cue to go, took closer order with rivals five abreast at the top of the stretch looking for a seam in the two path, weaved in and out around runners down the lane making a run and surged between horses late losing the three horse photo for the place share at the wire. PAINTTHETOWNSILVER was allowed to settle into things trailing down the backside, tried to circle around runners four wide around the oval, was fanned out widest in the five path in the conversation on the front end turning for home, could not sustain the outside rally and evened out by the eighth pole. HE SHOOTS HE WINS pressed the issue three deep at the start, seized clear control by the half, maintained the front end narrowly outside another through the turn, shifted to the two path for the drive just holding for the top spot in upper stretch, had little left for the late running and wilted by the furlong pole.
