Footnotes
CHROMEPLATED HEART had the rail position but had to be wrangled back at the seven sixteenths pole with runners bearing down when entering the turn, if that was not enough then had to be checked again on heels behind a runner leaving the three-furlong marker on the fence, patiently her and her rider regrouped settling into stride around the turn making a rally at the quarter pole, shifted to the three path picking up the bit even more at the top of the stretch, determinedly charged between runners in full flight at the furlong marker and rushed home having dead aim on the leader in the late running and got up in the final few last jumps for the late surging win. BRITTANY'S WAY was away alertly emerged from the scrum to have a narrow lead in the five path at the half, maintained a slim advantage on the engine getting to the rail at the three furlong marker, disposed of the early speed rival by the quarter pole, shifted to the two path in control taking the corner, moved comfortably being kept to the task well ahead at the furlong marker but was nabbed late on the outside by the fast closing winner in the final few strides. EXECUTIVE SUCCESS pressed the pace inside the leader in the four path early on, took back being reined in off the contesting duo at the three eighths pole, rated kindly all alone drafting behind the engaged pair around the bend, shifted out three wide in the thick of things straightening out for home, kept on fighting in the final furlong but could not accelerate with the inside winner as much in the late going but kept on coming nonetheless and was a solid third not too far off the front two rivals when crossing the finish line. EMPTY GESTURE had to be checked dropping back close to the back at the half mile marker, travelled two wide on the turn starting to reach for more ground when urged on at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path at the top of the lane, made a sharp move bursting between horses with a sixteenth to go and closed in smartly gaining on the leaders with every jump in deep stretch capturing a minor placing in the ned. FORESTERS EXEC settled in mid-division between runners with the field sorting itself out after a furlong into the race, ran on evenly two to three wide around the oval, shifted out to the five path with rivals on either side entering the stretch and finished up gradually coming on through the drive but could not really get involved in the late going. CELEBRITY RO settled in midfield outside runners going three deep at the half, kept pace while being nudged on four wide outside runners around the turn, swung out widest to the six path at the top of the stretch but failed to fire lacing a rally outside in the last eighth of a mile. SOUPER SPORTY was part of the early scramble in the two path between horses at the half, had to be throttled down in tight at the three eighths pole coming into the turn, moved well in hand waiting on the fence behind the lead three runners around the oval, hugged the rail coming on being in the mix at the top of the stretch but could not find another gear late and flattened out inside of runners with a sixteenth left to go. REFINEMENT was bumped by the inside runner on the break, travelled between horses being a joint last at the half, offered little two wide with rivals on boths sides around the turn, angled to the five path in upper stretch and had a good late turn of foot making up considerable ground in the final furlong but could not get into contention while in full flight when crossing the wire. SOUPER DIVA had a poor start breaking outwards brushing the gate, came under a hustling ride outside runners improving steadily down the backstretch, bid for the lead outside the frontrunner two wide at the three eighths pole, was driven on for more but gave way up top with the leader slipping away at the quarter pole, shifted to the four path for the stretch run but had little left being used up early and wilted by the sixteenth pole. ELUSIVE YAUPON shared the rear three deep with a half mile to run, could see the field in last place going three wide in the turn running, shifted to the four path at the top of the stretch, failed to menace in the drive to the wire but did manage to pass a couple of leg weary runners in the process. THANK YOU INDIA broke outwards on the start settling near the rear, made no headway while being coaxed for more three wide throughout the turn, swung out widest in the six path at the head of the lane but was outrun having no finish in the drive to the wire. SHE INSPIRES had a sluggish start to be at the rear leaving the gate, co-trailed on the inside of two others at the half, was hard ridden but spinning her wheels but saving all the ground around the turn, moved out to the three path for the stretch run but came up empty running down the lane.
