Footnotes
HYPNOTIZM pressed the issue on the rail at the half, dropped back for a brief moment at the three eighths pole when being asked for more run, quickly moved in once again to be on even terms on the fence at the five sixteenths marker, edged clear for the outright lead with a quarter mile remaining, shifted out two wide for the stretch drive and opened up smartly at the furlong marker to hold comfortably for the win. BOBBAAY shared the rear on the outside in the early stages, started to commence a rally moving in between runners two wide at the three furlong marker, continued to gain around rivals three wide in the turn running, swung out widest in the seven-path full of run straightening out for the drive and had a solid late charge in the final eight of a mile but could not catch his stablemate at the finish line while besting the rest. GOLD DRAGON had the rail position in mid-pack when the group was sorting itself out after a quarter mile has run, was nudged along on the fence keeping pace through the turn, had the two path looking for a seam in upper stretch, alter course to the outside four wide getting back into gear at the furlong marker and burst between runners with a sixteenth from home and with one final push got his head down at the wire outside winning the picture for the show award. WE THE NORTH was forwardly position behind the lead trio in mid-backstretch, stumbled badly catching the horse in front heels at the nine sixteenths pole, miraculously recovered to sit inside watching the contesting duo midway around the turn, skimmed the fence in the thick of things taking the corner but faded inside runners with a sixteenth to go and just lost the show award getting nabbed by the outside foe right at the finish line. TOO FAB FOR YOU kept a close eye on the embattled trio at the half going four deep outside runners, continued to move forward edging up around horses four wide through the turn, shifted out the five path in with a chance for a small share but stalled with his run between foes at the sixteenth pole. STREET SAVANT rated kindly in mid-division going three deep down the back straightaway, came under a busy ride two wide around the bend narrowing the margin on the leader by the quarter pole, angled out to the six path at the head of the lane but evened out in the last furlong. MY JUSTYN THYME was fractious behind the gate unseating the rider, broke on top getting the early advantage, had company on both sides at the half, shot clear again momentarily at the three eighths pole being asked for more run, was collared once again by the eventual winner inside by midturn, could not keep up even though urged right-handed by the jockey at the quarter pole, still briefly stayed in the mix three wide turning for home but weakened between horses in the last furlong shortening stride staying on the incorrect lead to the wire. CLASSIC D J veered out sharply on the break, dropped back through the backstretch to co-trail on the outside of two others at the half, travelled three wide paired up with an inside foe seeing the field offering little impression around the bend, moved out to the six path for the stretch run and managed to pass a couple of weary foes in the drive. IRON WEAVE had runners on either side watching the lead pair in the beginning, moved in down the backside to prompt the pace three deep at the half, chased the engaged twosome while three wide between horses around the oval and could not find more at the head of the lane wilting in the five path by mid-stretch. PERFECTLYAPPOINTED jumped up leaving all fours on the break, then tried for a stride or two to veer in at the gap but the rider professional kept him on a straight course, co-trailed on the outside down the backstretch, had the rail offering little in the turn running and could not play a factor in the three path through the stretch drive. ROCKAWAY settled near the rear with runners on each side while in the two path down the backside, had to be checked briefly when the rival in front stumbled at the nine sixteenths pole, came under a hard drive just off the rail on the turn making no headway, skimmed the fence in upper stretch but came up empty for the drive to the wire folding on the rail by the furlong marker. STEWARD'S INQUIRY DOWN THE BACKSTRETCH IN THE VICINITY OF THE NINE-SIXTEENTHS POLE RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
