NO CAPE was bumped at the start but quickly made the lead and dictated terms in the clear setting a leisurely pace from off the rail, was asked in upper stretch, responded and held sway despite drifting a bit. GELATO brushed a rival lightly at the start, shifted in early, tracked from inside saving ground on the first turn, continued along the inside through the far turn just in behind and and inside the leader, switched out and was asked for run at the top of the stretch with aim on the leader, could make no headway first outside then inside that runner. METRO KING settled off the pace inside, steadily advanced willingly, angled out at the quarter pole coming into upper stretch seven wide under urging, ran on well but too late. KAIROS MOMENT settled outside mid-pack three then four wide in the early going, advanced past the seven-sixteenths four wide on the far turn, was within range past the quarter pole, came into upper stretch five deep, could not sustain the effort. FOUND MONEY bumped the outside foe at the start, stalked from outside three wide then chased under some encouragement between foes on the far turn, failed to rally for the stretch run. ALMASTY FIVE was lightly brushed at the start then just in a hair tight soon after, raced outside off the pace mostly three then four wide in the early going, fanned eight wide into upper stretch, failed to menace. PELEE ISLAND veered out at the start, settled at the rear racing just off the inside, was never near enough to threaten. DON'T SAY A WORD switched out off the rail on the first turn racing mid-pack, pulled a bit against a tight hold racing briefly between foes up the backstretch, steadily retreated.
