Footnotes
RAGING TIMBER had runners on either side close to the back end, travelled three wide rating kindly isolated behind the contesting midway along the bend, angled out widest in the six path staring to extend his stride reaching for more ground at the head of the lane, powered past taking over control at the furlong pole and was kept to the task late winning quite comfortably when crossing the finish line. MYSTIC PATH hopped at the start trailing down the backside, continued at the rear but was closing the gap around the bend, moved in sharply in the five path at the head of the lane and was of run finding his best stride late closing in determinedly in the final furlong to be a clear second best at the wire. BEACH FACTOR veered out on the break, settled near the rear three deep with the quite compact at the three quarters pole, ranged up smartly four wide outside runners around the turn, moved to the leaders not being asked in the five path at the top of the stretch, poked his head in front getting a brief lead at the three sixteenths pole, could not match strides with the late charging winner outside surrendering the front by the furlong marker and faded in the two path to be all alone at the finish line holding for the show award. FULL STAR had a slow beginning on the inside, improved on the fence to be tracking the leaders by the three quarter marker, argued for the front end with a couple of outside challengers throughout the turn running, scraped paint just clinging on the top spot straightening out for the stretch drive but could not find more in the late going and weakened inside of horses at the furlong pole. ERIE SHORES prompted the pace outside along the back straight, vied between horses up top at the midpoint of the bend, shifted to the three path in the hunt with a quarter mile from home but tired between rivals at the furlong marker. PADDY HOLIDAY broke a step slow at the start, settled inside runners in mid-pack with the field sorting itself out at the three quarters marker, dropped back shifting outside in midturn, moved back inside to the two path taking the final corner but had little to give weakening on the rail in the final furlong. STELLA POINT had a narrow advantage between runners in the beginning, vied between rivals heading into the turn, reytrrated on the rail by the three eighths pole and emptied out turning for home.
