Footnotes
KATIE'S GRACE was unhurried at the rear down the backstretch while still remaining well within striking distance, travelled three wide on the the oval at the rear with the field bunching up at the seven sixteenths marker, swung out widest for clear run in the six path turning for home and stormed on past rivals by the sixteenth pole seizing control and had to be ridden out fending off the stubborn inside runner at the finish line. TALENT SHOW was allowed to settle into stride having only one runner beaten who just happened to ne the eventual winner down the backside, patiently sat on hold between foes part of the back trio around the turn, moved to the three path behind runners in upper stretch looking for a lane, burst through a tight seam making her presence felt at the furlong pole, battled inside the winner in deep stretchbut jumped back to the incorrect lead in the late going and just missed for the win at the wire. VANITY had the three path keeping a close eye on the front two down the back straightaway, ranged up four wide around the bend, shifted to the five path between foes in the hunt at the quarter pole, still dueled for the lead with three sixteenths left to run, had her head cocked outside while going back to the incorrect lead between runners leaving the furlong pole losing momentum and ran on only evenly afterwards to be a clear third. WAR SIGNAL assumed command on the fence down the backside, continued to dictate terms left alone around the bend, remained on the fence holding on up front at the top of the stretch, was overtaken by a host of outside rivals leaving the furlong pole and faded on the rail with a sixteenth to go settling on the fringes. TAKEMETOTHEBEACH was situated on the fence in mid-division, took closer order at the five furlong marker forcing the pace outside briefly, chased the frontrunner two wide between rivals making little gain, moved to the three path still in the mix at the head of the lane and fought on stubbornly in the thick of things until wilting in the final sixteenth of a mile. MADAME OBEY hounded the pace on the outside along the back straight, edged up three wide between horses on the turn when nudged for more at the three furlong marker, moved out to the four path between horses for the drive but had no run giving way to the field in upper stretch. MEW N ME ran in tandem with an outside foe near the rear in the early going, had the rail waiting for the cue to go saving all the ground while a joint last at the three eighths pole, shaved the corner with a smart burst of speed getting into contention but could not continue the rally and faltered by the furlong marker.
