Footnotes
SOUPER GIN'S WORLD broke out at the start, had the early lead between horses, hounded the pace two wide outside on the first turn and through the backstretch, took back the lead being patiently handled two wide between runners at the three furlong marker, moved smartly in control just off the fence at the head of the lane and kept finding more when called upon to win comfortably when crossing the finish line up top. FURY'S FLIGHT was sandwiched at the start, had the rail being quite keen in midfield early on, shifted outside entering the backstretch, pulled the rider closer to prompt the pace three deep at the half, travelled three wide moving in again when asked for more at the quarter pole making a bid for the lead entering the stretch but was unable to find another gear and gamely chased the winner to the wire besting the rest. UNFORGETTABLE FACE (IRE) had the rail near the rear, made no progression down the backside, inched up on the fence in the second turn a quarter mile from home having no room to extend her stride, angled to the five path still looking for a lane, was full of run bursting between rivals at the sixteenth pole and won the duel late for the show money. LAPIN DE PLAGE had runners on either side sitting in mid-pack, made no change in position but shifting to the outside down the back straight, was driven on for more three wide at the five sixteenths pole coming with a rally taking closer order by the quarter marker, moved to the five path in with a chance for a share taking the corner and finished up willingly between horses to be a fringe player in the end. SECRETLY DELIGHTED was in no hurry seeing the field in the early stages, was a joint last inside at the half, had runners on both sides narrowing the margin on the leader at the quarter pole, angled to the six path between challengers at the top of the stretch and ran on mildly outside horses but could not get into contention. BAD PENNY travelled three wide in mid-pack around the first bend, made little progression but was inside runners down the backside, edged closer two wide on the second turn with a quarter mile to run, had the four path drifting in for a moment when switching leads at the head of the lane, rallied into third with a furlong to go but could not find more late and flattened out in the final seventy yards losing a few positions in deep stretch. SILVER GAL settled close to the back end on the outside, shared the rear with an inside runner at the half, closed the gap on the far turn going three wide at the quarter pole, swung out widest to the seven path in upper stretch but could only manage to pass a couple of inside weary runners in the late running. LIVELY UP broke inwards on the start, prompted the pace outside initially, took back off the lead duo heading into the first bend, had a good spot drafting behind the engaged trio at the half, continued to wait behind the front threesome midway along the turn, shifted to the two path in the mix straightening out for the drive but tired inside rivals by the sixteenth pole. DOUBLE OR NOTHING pressed the issue inside in the beginning, hugged the rail getting a neck in front around the first of two turns, continued up top while hounded oustdie down the backstretch, relinquished the lead to the winner outside at the three eighths pole, was scrubbed on for more but gave way arguing up top by the quarter pole, skimmed the fence tirning for home and folded in the final furlong.
