Footnotes
WARLORD CRUZAN was brushed slightly on the inside at the start, had a good trip drafting just behind the pacesetter down the back straight, shifted outside in midturn lengthening stride, bid for the lead outside the leader with a quarter mile to run, dueled outside now with two others down the lane and got the better of his stretch rivals in the late going, edging away for the win in the final seventy yards. CANYOUHEARMERUNNIN had the rail stalking ahead of a couple of runners early on, advanced smartly on the fence around the oval, angled out getting a seam in the two path splitting the engaged duo at the top of the stretch making it a three horse affair up top, fought on determinedly between runners to the wire but it just wasn t enough in the final few strides. COUNTRY LIVING broke outwards on the start, emerged from the group to have the advantage along the backside, rolled along uncontested in the early portion of the turn, had company outside by the quarter pole, hugged the rail battling inside at the top of the lane, dug in down the stretch but grudgingly gave way late to be a clear third in the end. ECHO WITH LAUGHTER stalked near the rear in the beginning, narrowed the margin just off the fence around the turn, started to get into gear at the quarter pole, had a chance for a small share three wide straightening out for home, was no threat to the lead trio who had it to themselves in the final furlong and just lasted on the inside to settle on the fringes. ALWAYS A WAY was checked briefly leaving the chute to see the field down the back straight, still lagged behind around the turn, swung out widest in the seven path gathering momentum outside horses at the top of the lane and had good stretch energy trying to close in for a minor share in the end. BARAK settled between challengers in the three path in mid-division down the backstretch, regressed unable to quicken with rivals on either side at the five sixteenths pole in the running around the bend and emptied out inside runners having the two path in mid-stretch. RYE'S MY GUY settled outside horses going four deep in midfield, continued outside travelling four wide while under a ride just keeping pace with others through the turn, angled out between foes in the six path turning the corner but had little to offer in the stretch drive. HIGHLAND SOCIETY chased the frontrunner having rivals on either side down the backstretch, was going the wrong way between foes two wide midway around the bend and faltered in the four path by the furlong marker. STEWARDS INQUIRY THROUGH THE STRETCH REGARDING #1 CANYOUHEARMERUNNIN AND #3 COUNTRY LIVING RESULTED IN NO CHANGE
