Footnotes
SULTANA hopped slightly on the break, shared the back outside another going into the first turn, could see the field while well within striking distance outside foes at the half mile marker, had a sharp turn of foot advancing three wide around rivals at the five sixteenths marker, swung out widest posing the main threat at the top of the stretch, grinded away creeping closer through the lane and just got up in the final few strides for the stretch running win. QUEENS COMMAND (IRE) settled near the rear three wide outside foes on the initial turn, improved three deep along the backside to sit in the second tier with a half left to run, closed in three wide midway on the far turn, battled up top between horses in the five path in upper stretch, was urged left handed at the furlong marker to edge clear having the lead with a sixteenth of a mile remaining, kept digging in to the finish line but just got caught in the shadow of the wire for the win. DANCING N DIXIE was pinched between rivals on the break, co-trailed in tight on the fence heading into the first turn, stalked at the back with the eventual winner to her outside down the back straight, moved out three wide in the last position at the quarter pole mounting a rally, shifted to the four path for the stretch drive and had a solid late charge between foes in the final furlong to be a clear third while not that far off for the win as well at the wire. BLITZ was hustled in the beginning to get the lead and the fence going under the wire for the first time, rolled along setting a brisk pace while shadowed outside down the backstretch, maintained a slim lead on the fence throughout the far turn, still was clinging onto the lead inside foes two wide straightening out for home, shortened stride staying on the incorrect lead giving way up front at the furlong pole but did fight on to last for a minor share in the end. FOR FLYING (BRZ) broke out on the start, argued between rivals up front down the stretch for the first time, kept a close eye on the front two around the first bend, moved in on the outside to prompt the issue down the backstretch, dueled between runners at the five sixteenths pole, remained in the thick of things four wide with challengers on each side turning for home, could not find more late and yielded by the furlong pole. HURRICANE CLAIR vied inside for the early lead, became headstrong relinquishing the front getting kick back from the leader with a mile still to run, settled down all alone watching the lead pair down the backside, was scrubbed on for more run but was spinning her wheels around the last bend inside rivals, skimmed the fence at the top of the stretch bit could not offer a finish in the drive to the wire. LONG AGO (GB) broke inwards on the break, was isolated in mid-division around the first turn, settled into stride between runners down the backstretch in the second flight at the half, was asked for more run to keep up to the lead group midway on the second turn, offered little response and failed to menace three wide in the stretch running.
