THUNDERMAKER assumed command from the onset with challengers on both sides in the beginning, opened up in midturn setting an honest pace, was set down at the top of the stretch on the fence, improved the advantage by the furlong marker and came home comfortably for the gate to wire score. EUBANK prompted the issue outside two others along the backside, chased determinedly but could not gain on the frontrunner around the oval, angled to the four path never quitting with his pursuit down the stretch, could not get to the winner in the final furlong though but was well ahead of the rest of the field when crossing the finish line. WELL LIT settled into stride with rivals on both sides watching the front trio down the backstretch, kept pace between others in the three path throughout the turn and finished up willingly down the lane to win the show money but being a distant third at the wire. B THE KING had the rail position tracking the engaged trio down the back straight, improved between runners in the two path with a half mile still to run, closed the gap slight taking the short way around the turn and stalled in the three path inside another in the late stages to settle for a minor share in the end. LOVE PUDDLES travelled three deep outside horses in the second flight early on, made little headway taking the overland route four wide around the bend and lacked a rally in the four path in the stretch running. STELLA POINT was void of early foot lagging behind the group down the backstretch, continued to trail the field around the oval, skimmed the fence turning for home and passed a weary straggler by mid-stretch. NAMED FIREY pressed the issue on the fence early down the backside, could not hold forward inside position dropping back at the half, retreated saving ground throughout the turn and was empty three wide in upper stretch.
