Footnotes
MILITARY FORCE was under a snug hold in the latter part of midfield down the backside, made a good move around horses three wide improving position at the five sixteenths pole, angled out to the four path with a chance outside of the leaders at the top of the stretch, kept coming on through the lane and powered past in deep stretch for the win. BOLD RELOAD traded bumps with the inside rival on the break, recovered to sit behind the engaged duo midway along the backside, vied between horses up front at the three eighths pole, seized control two wide in upper stretch, was just holding on coming to the sixteenth pole inside but could not fend off the late charge by the winner nearing the wire. BLAZING BO was up close four deep watching the front three horses in the beginning, took closer order to prompt the pace three wide at the three furlong pole through the turn, remained in the hunt two wide at the top of the stretch, battled stubbornly on the rail up top with a sixteenth from home but needed more late and had to settle for the show money at the wire. WILBERFORCE had a good position with runners on each side watching the contesting duo, moved in closer in the two path in midturn, had the rail in the mix at the top of the stretch looking for a seam, had to shift out three wide off the tiring frontrunner by the sixteenth pole lacking running room and could recover in time to play a role late. VALLEY VICTORY had the rail position in midfield, was in tight quarters having to be checked leaving the seven sixteenths pole to be shuffled back midway on the turn, shifted out three wide at the quarter marker starting to re-rally and had good late interest outside horses in the final furlong trying to close in for a minor role. RAPTURE BAY broke out on the start, had a head advantage outside another down the backside, narrowly maintained the lead on the rail with two rivals hounding the pace outside through the turn, gave way scraping paint at the top of the lane fighting for the lead and had little left for the drive, fading by the sixteenth pole. KIDDIE HOLIDAY stalked close to the back between horses, could not improve going outside runners three wide on the turn, swung out widest in the seven path turning for home and lacked a rally down the stretch. WINSTON BLUE bobbled and was then pushed out on the break, settled on the fence near the rear down the backstretch, could not get involved just off the rail in the running around the turn and in the four path could not offer a run to get into contention in the late stages. KID FORESTER bobbled slightly initially at the the start, then stumbled possibly catching heels on an inside rival soon afterwards, co-trailed inside another troubled starter along the backside, had no rally between foes around the oval and showed little having the three path in the stretch drive between horses. NORTH WARDEN exchanged bumps with the outside foe having to be taken up briefly at the start, co-trailed on the outside early on, made no progress travelling four wide around horses through the turn, could see the field at the quarter pole and while on the rail in the stretch caught a runner very late. HIATUS broke sharp getting the early lead, pressed the pace while scrubbed for more at the half inside, dropped back on the fence through the turn and emptied out on the rail in upper stretch. STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING THE START RESULTED IN #3 RAPTURE BAY BEING DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED NINTH FOR INTERFERENCE
