PLAYMEA TUNE had a stalking trip between runners in the two path along the back straight, moved up getting better forward position by the half, was poised on the turn ready to make a move, angled out five wide having a quick turn of foot at the top of the stretch, was full of run closing in at the furlong marker and edged away from a stubborn frontrunner in deep stretch outside for the win. SOUPED UP poked his head in front having runners on either side down the backstretch, dueled inside a pesky speed rival throughout the turn maintaining a slim advantage, spurted clear hugging the rail straightening out for the drive, kept on running gamely on the fence down the lane but could not fend off the winner late and gave way grudgingly in the final seventy yards. RUNNIN' ROCKET pressed the pace on the rail in the beginning, was reined back on the fence watching the engaged pair at the half, drafted behind the lead pair on the turn waiting for the cue to go, moved out three wide posing a threat in upper stretch, could not quicken with the lead duo by the eighth pole stalling somewhat and ran on well enough to be a clear third at the finish line. PIPER'S FACTOR prompted the pace on the outside early on, continued to be a thorn in the leaders side battling outside around the turn, gave way in the four path dueling up top in upper stretch and finished up evenly in the final eighth of a mile to last for the minor award in the end. I'M A GAMBLER (IRE) settled at the rear with the field quite compact down the backside, shifted outside three wide at the three furlong pole still seeing the field around the bend, shifted inwards to the rail in mid-stretch and came with a mild late run inside horses dueling for a minor share at the wire. TWIN CITY travelled in midfield going three deep outside of a couple of runners down the backside, kept pace still outside going three wide around the turn, swung out widest in the six-path turning for home but lacked a finishing kick in the stretch drive.
