Footnotes
RUNAWAY AGAIN settled between foes off the leaders into the first turn, stalked from mid-pack off the fence in the two to three path, was urged along past the five-sixteenths still off the rail, shifted in a bit in upper stretch, rallied inside to take the lead seventy yards out and just edge clear. NO MORE OPTIONS set the pace inside, faced strong pressure at the half, kicked away to be clear nearing the three-eighths, was off the rail coming into upper stretch, proved no match for the winner but held the place. LAC MACAZA settled off the pace inside on or just off the rail racing at the back, was in just a bit tight briefly early on the first turn, bided time saving ground, was encouraged nearing the quarter pole, came out past the furlong marker, was gaining too late. SKYRO angled in two wide entering the first turn, made an early advance inside foes but off the fence about midway up the backstretch, was within striking distance leaving the far turn two to three wide, lacked the needed late kick. ENGLISH ACTOR tracked inside, made a swift early move between foes past the five-eighths drawing even with the leader coming to the half, was soon outsprinted by that foe and continued to chase three wide, came out a bit turning for home, failed to rally. POSSIBLEMENTE pressed or stalked from outside racing close up through the early going, floated out wider leaving the far turn under a drive, came out a bit in upper stretch, failed to rally. DAI VERNON settled outside at the rear, improved position passing foes inside but off the rail in the stretch. DETERMINEDLY broke just a hair slowly, shifted in and was encouraged forward, steadied on heels slightly entering the first turn, advanced midway up the backstretch outside, went three to four wide through the far turn in striking distance and coming out a bit leaving that bend, flattened out. WESTSIDE TIDE was forwardly-placed shifting in a bit heading into the first turn, stalked from outside, was forced four to five wide on the far turn, drifted a bit into upper stretch, came up empty. LEGAL CATCH was caught three to four wide in the early going, chased from mid-pack up the backstretch then dropped back.
