Footnotes
ELLA IT IS broke inwards on the start, had a good spot tucked in on the rail watching the contesting duo throughout, patiently waited for running room on the face behind the lead pair with a quarter mile to run, moved out in the two path getting a seam in upper stretch and drove past sharply reaching for ground impressively in the final sixteenth of a mile to win going away at the wire. HINT was under a snug hold having the lead on the rail in the first turn, set a modest pace while hounded outside down the back straight, continued to keep her head in front while battling with the outside rivals through the last bend, edged away for a clear advantage hugging the rail turning for home but could not match strides in deep stretch with the winner outside who had an ideal setup throughout the race. PEACE POSEY broke outwards on the start, stalked in the two path close to the back of the pack, travelled in the third tier outside another down the backside, started to edge up three wide around horses at the quarter pole, swung out widest in the six path for the stretch run and closed in belatedly to be a distant third at the finish line. JUICY HANNA was bumped inside on the start to be well back of the field early on, still lagged behind the pack down the backstretch, was urged with a left-handed crop commencing a run on the fence at the quarter pole and had a good late rail rally down the lane to get up for a minor placing in the end. AUSSIE HYPER was brushed on the outside on the break, travelled on the rail near the back of the group for the first part of this route race, galloped along making little progression down the back straight, started to make a run when nudged along shifting out at the quarter pole, angled to the five path at the top of the lane between foes but lacked a rally in the stretch drive. BRENGUNGIRL had a poor start, first breaking in a tangle then being pushed out leaving the gate, became headstrong tracking the front pair while outside a rival on the first turn, settled into a good rhythm down the backstretch keeping tabs on the front duo, crept closer to the embattled pair at the quarter pole having the eventual winner hemmed in on the fence, moved four wide at the top of the stretch in the thick of things but could not find more late and tired between runners in the final furlong. MISS PIERRE hounded the pacesetter on the outside in the beginning, took even closer order to duel outside on the front end down the backstretch, continued to throw it down going head-to-head around the far turn, shifted to the three path at the top of the lane but could not remain with the lead twosome in upper stretch and faltered by the furlong marker having little left in the late running.
