Footnotes
ROAR OF THE CROWD hopped slightly on the break, tracked the engaged duo while outside another along the backside, moved in to bid for the lead midway around the turn, got his neck in front two wide in upper stretch, opened up at the sixteenth pole drifting to the rail under right handed encouragement, begun to get leg weary battling into the strong headwind in deep stretch but held sway for the victory at the finish line. BANKINGONAMIRACLE went head to head with the inside rival in the early going, edged clear up top by the half, had another rival outside pressing the pace at the five sixteenths marker, stubbornly battled on inside of the eventual winner in upper stretch, grudgingly gave way on the fence by the sixteenth pole, moved outside late and kept on coming to the wire never wavering, actually coming back on in the end but settling for second best on this day. SIGNATURE SIR was unhurried seeing the field after the start, improved on the outside at the half, made little headway travelling just off the rail around the turn, angled to the four path straightening out for home coming with a run and had a good late charge outside to get up for third money at the wire. RED PHARAOH forced the issue on the inside leaving the gate, was content to track on the rail letting the outside speed rival go on with it at the half, took the short way around the bend watching the engaged duo in midturn, shifted out three wide at the top of the lane and ran on mildly narrowing the margin between rivals late to be a fringe player in the end. LA BELLEZA NEGRA had the inside position in the second pairing after the break, dropped back to be at the rear with a half mile still to run, made little impression around the bend, could not gain any position down the lane but did have good late energy in the final furlong on the fence closing ground considerably in deep stretch.
