Footnotes
EXECUTIVE SUCCESS assumed command from the onset, controlled the pace down the backside even though flanked outside at the half, was let out a notch opening back up again at the three eighths pole, had another challenger make a bid outside at the quarter marker, burst away once more under a well rationed ride in upper stretch and still had more in the final furlong to hold safe at the finish line. WHY EM SEA AY had rail position in the middle of the pack, crept closer making a rail run throughout the turn, skimmed the fence then shifting outside two wide at the furlong poke posing the only opposition but could not wear down the winner who had something left for deep stretch. ENCHANTED FOREST was allowed to settle in the beginning trailing the field, started to pickup runners outside at the half mile pole, made little progress going two to three wide thought the turn and showed some willingness closing belatedly to be a non-threatening third at the wire. WOZNIACKI bobbled slightly soon after the break, prompted the pace three deep on the outside down the back straight, moved in around the turn three wide to bid for the lead at the quarter pole, was repelled by the winner who had plenty in reserve at the top of the stretch and faded on the fence in the final eighth of a mile. SUIGU BELLE was brushed on the inside on the break, vied between rivals on the front end at the half, regressed slightly on the turn at the quarter marker, shifted to the five path for the drive to the wire but came up empty in the stretch run. REACH FOR THE TOP broke outwards on the start, had a stalking role near the rear on the inside in the early going, dropped back to last at the half, lagged well behind the group running through the turn, swung out widest in the six path turning for home but could not factor outside in the late running.
