KAVALA co-trailed with runners on either side in the backstretch while a half mile remaining, started to pick up the bit rallying three wide in midturn, had a sharp turn of foot circling around a couple of rivals four wide at the quarter marker, had aim on the leader in full flight at the top of the stretch, kept gaining with every stride down the lane and u der a well timed late burst got up for the win in the final jump in a tight photo outside. KATHERINE'S GEM had the lead on the rail inside three others in the early going, dueled on the fence having a narrow advantage inside running around the turn, finally disposed of the last of the early speed rivals spurting clear on the rail inside at the top of the stretch, kept trying to find more clinging onto the lead stubbornly with a sixteenth from home but just got nabbed at the wire in a hard fought loss. MI TORMENTA was part of the scrum up front in the three path between horses early on, dropped back to watch the engaged pair at the half, saved ground watching the battling duo on the turn, scraped paint coming with a mild run turning for home, was no match for the front twosome who had it to themselves late and finished up a distant but clear third at the wire. KID GIZMO was on the fence part of the back trio at the half, made little improvement while going two to three wide inside another throughout the bend, angled out to the six path straightening for home and could only manage to pass a couple of weary runners outside in the final furlong. STOLEN was part of the early pace arguing between rivals in the two path at the five eighths marker, battled outside bobbing heads for the lead around the turn, had enough fighting up top two wide by upper stretch and tired between runners in the final eighth of a mile. HOT OMELET was part of the conversation four deep fighting outside for the front end in the beginning, could not maintain forward position by the half giving way up top, was scrubbed for more in the two path around the oval but was being passed by the winner outside by tge quarter pole and lacked a finishing kick three wide between horses in mid-stretch. LEGS LIKE FLATTER travelled in the three path sharing the rear with two inside rivals down the backside at the half, made little improvement on the turn while being pushed out by the inside rival three to four wide around turn, then still was floated out widest in the seven path for the drive and could not get into contention outside horses in the stretch run.
