Footnotes
BESSIE ABOTT (IRE) had a narrow advantage on the inside of another foe along the backside, held the lead on the rail around the bend while pressed outside throughout the turn, shifted out slightly two wide at the top of the lane holding onto the lead and stubbornly prevailed on the outside by a nose with a game rival bearing down right at the finish line. CRYSTAL VISIONS bobbled on the break, recovered to have a nice trip all alone watching the engaged twosome along the backside, sat poised on the fence waiting for the cue behind the lead duo on the turn, skimmed the fence having a lane in upper stretch, darted up the rail in the final furlong posing the main opposition in the late running and surged right at the wire but was denied in a tight photo at the wire. COZY CURLIN KITTEN had a stalking role in the third pairing early on, made little headway inside of runners throughout the turn, moved out from the two path in upper stretch finding another gear four wide at the sixteenth pole and closed in belatedly in the late going to get her head down right at the wire for the show award. A LITTLE FRISKY hounded the pacesetter on the outside down the back straight, crept up to prompt the issue still on the outside of the flank on the frontrunner around the oval, shifted out mildly to the three path in the hunt outside the main two rivals at the top of the stretch, could not quicken with the lead duo by the sixteenth pole and was nabbed at the wire for the show money settling on the fringes instead at the end. READY TO BATTLE broke a step slow and was then allowed to settle into stride seeing the field down the backstretch, could at the rear around the bend making little gain, swung out widest for clear run in the five path at the top of the lane, switched leads finding more at the sixteenth pole and closed the gap in deep stretch but could not get into contention when crossing the finish line. SCAT GIRL stalked close to the back on the outside of another challenger, made a brief run on the turn at the quarter pole closing in, angled to the four path straightening out for home but lacked a rally between runners down the lane.
