TRIP ACES was under a snug hold rating kindly on the fence watching the embattled threesome down the backside, saved all the ground waiting for the moment to go on the turn keeping a close eye on the dueling trio, scraped paint daring up the inside at the head of the lane and inched away from the stubborn frontrunner outside in deep stretch for the win. PADRAIG controlled a measured pace on the inside up top, narrowly maintained the advantage nursed along on the rail throughout the turn, shifted to the two path holding his own at the top of the lane, dug in gamely while rivals on either side at the furlong marker and just missed for the win outside. YOU AND ME BABY travelled three deep shadowing the top pair on the outside early on, took even closer order three wide circling in midturn when called for more, bid for the lead in the three path turning for home, was no match for the lead duo at the sixteenth pole but finished up willingly to be a clear third. CAT'S FURY vied between runners down the backstretch, came under a ride chasing the pacesetter in the two path throughout the turn, still was in the mix of things two wide straightening out for home but lacking a clear lane and ran on one paced in the final eighth to be a fringe player in the end. PRINCE ALMASTY trailed the field along the back straight, still lagged behind on the turn, started to close in a touch shifting outside four wide at the quarter pole, passed an inside rival having the five path at the top of the lane but could not move improve down the stretch further to be a factor at the wire. ALLBETSAREOFF was antsy prior to the start, broke sluggishly seeing the field when the gate opened up, moved outside three deep stalking near the rear down the backside, offered little run around the oval, was passed outside when four wide turning for home to be at the back of the pack and had little to show in the late running.
