HEAT MERCHANT stalked four wide, swept rapidly to the lead past the three-eighths and quickly clear, extended the advantage into upper stretch, held safe. FAIRWAY TO HEAVEN was forced into a rival at the start, settled off the pace, saved ground early on the turn, swung seven wide leaving that bend, was full of run but only second best. LITTLE RED DOMI came in at the start, chased from between foes off the pace three to four wide into the turn, dropped back late on that bend, angled out eight wide nearing mid-stretch, kicked on too late but well enough to get up for show. MIDNIGHT ARKLE broke very awkwardly, chased from outside four to five wide into and on the turn, ran on but lost third late. FASCINATION STREET was strongly urged at the start, edged clear and shifted in to set the pace near the inside, weakened in the stretch. THE NEW MAYBE chased two wide, raced inside foes turning into upper stretch saving ground, went evenly and was never a threat. COLONEL MUSTARD checked at the start when squeezed back, settled at the rear off the inside, fanned eight wide into upper stretch, failed to menace. ADELAIDE COURT was bumped at the start, chased up close pressing briefly from outside, went two to three wide on the turn, dropped back and faded. SOUPER ICONIC chased from inside, steadily retreated.
