SOUPERGIRL dueled on the inside after the break, cleared off to be alone up top by the half, rolled along well within herself increasing the advantage around the turn and cruised on home easily down the lane for a dominant front running score. LOOKS LUCKY TO ME had the rail sitting in the middle of the pack, kept pace taking the shortest way around the bend, angled to the three path straightening out for home, dug in late splitting rivals at the sixteenth pole and bested the rest but was well behind the overpowering winner. KATHERINE'S GEM tracked the loose leader on the fence with another foes on the outside with a half mile still to run, gave futile chase with the leader getting further away on the turn, shifted three wide turning for home, stayed on the incorrect lead shortening stride on the rail at the eighth pole with the winner long gone by then and was caught in deep stretch surrendering the second place share late inside. SOUPER SUNDAY stalked near the rear on the outside, made a big circling move four wide around horses at the five sixteenths pole, angled out for the drive five wide turning for home, could not sustain the rally down the lane stalling at the furlong pole and settled for a minor placing instead at the finish line. IRON PYRITE was void of early foot seeing the pack down the back straight, made little headway still at the rear saving ground throughout the turn, could not factor in the stretch drive but did pass a weary one in the final sixteenth of a mile. PRIMA pressed the issue on the outside in the beginning, let the leader go on with it to sit in a tracking role on the outside down the backstretch at the half, regressed in the three path between runners midway around the bend and offered little in the drive to the wire, emptying out four wide by the furlong marker.
