ROCK HARD ROSE was under a hustling ride early while on the outside to take the lead, shook clear up top on the rail by the half, continued to dictate the pace unchallenged through the turn, had company on the outside when skimming the fence in upper stretch, stubbornly repelled that challenger by the furlong marker, braced for the late charge outside by another rival at the sixteenth pole and under a well rationed out ride just held on for the frontrunning victory. KIMBERLINA had a good set up contently sitting behind the pacesetters along the back straight, still remained poised holding her own while watching the front pair through the bend, shifted out from the two path in upper stretch to come with a rally four wide at the furlong pole, charged to the leader late but just missing getting there in time for the win. MONTY'S INN travelled three deep keeping tabs on the leader, moved in to prompt the pace outside at the seven sixteenths pole, came under a ride with a quarter mile from home inching up to the front end, bid for the top spot three wide at the head of the lane but could not keep up to the winner by the eighth pole and faded slightly late but still lasted easily for the show money at the wire. CLOUD RIDER was brushed by the inside rival on the break, settled in midfield with runners on each side down the back straight, kept pace running around the turn, moved out three wide at the top of the stretch and finished up evenly down the lane to be a fringe player in the end. SKYLIGHT CAPER broke outwards on the start then was roused to stay interested trailing in the early going, made little movement through the turn three wide when nudged for more at the five sixteenths pole, angled to the five path turning for home but could not get into contention in the late running. MOMANDA had the rail position in mid-division, stalked close to the back of the pack with a half mile still to go, could not improve inside of runners having the fence around the bend, hugged the rail cornering for the stretch run but showed little energy in the drive to the wire.
