SAGAMORE MISCHIEF was hustled to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, was challenged near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied inside of a rival while along the rail on the turn, shook clear when put to a drive into upper stretch then drew off, came under a right-handed crop coming to the furlong marker, was placed under a hand-ride outside the sixteenth-pole then eased up in the final forty yards while much the best. WINTER'S GHOST moved out early then tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid near the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the two path on the turn, lost touch with the winner into upper stretch and proved no match while clear for the place. ICE ROAD settled on the outside, moved closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, was asked in the three path on the turn, chased into the stretch and weakened while clear for the show. WHISKEY N SODA bumped with a foe at the start, was urged along off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, chased inside on the turn and tired. STRONG LIGHT bumped with a rival at the start then dropped back quickly while slow into stride, tacked on to the back of the field with six furlongs to run, moved closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground while roused on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. INDIANQUEST was urged along off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, went around the turn in the two then three path, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. STEADY PROGRESS was taken in hand early then reserved on the outside, moved closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, was asked in the three then four path on the turn and came up empty. WINE RESPONSIBLY lost his footing and was off a step slow, was urged along near the rear, moved closer around the nine-sixteenths pole then dropped back at the half-mile pole, raced inside to the three path on the turn, came out to the seven path into upper stretch and failed to threaten. SUGAR GRAY LEONARD was hustled from the gate then urged along off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, chased in the two then three path on the turn and retreated.
