Footnotes
ALEAH ALEAH broke out then was hustled, opened up a big margin quickly while off the inside, was taken in hand with a very sizable advantage before the three-quarter pole, was given a breather and had the rest of the field move closer late on the backstretch and early on the turn, dropped from the two path to the rail near the seven-sixteenths pole, was asked turning into the stretch, responded well when put to a right-handed crop while still on his inside lead outside the eighth-pole, continued on his inside lead in the final furlong and maintained a safe advantage under strong urging. MR. MENDELSSOHN broke out at the start, was urged along off the pace, gained while moving from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the five path and willingly secured the place. YORK TAVERN was ridden along towards the rear on the far outside, dropped from the five path to the three path early on the turn, came out to the six path into upper stretch and improved with late energy to just get the show. GOLDEN PURCHASE broke out at the start, was ridden along on the outside, moved from the four path to the three path while getting closer on the turn, spun into upper stretch in the four path and lacked the needed kick then lost the show. OLLIE CAN DANCE was backed in from the front of the gate to be loaded, stood in the gate and was off slow, spotted the front several lengths, was urged along at the rear, traveled around in the turn in the two path, spun into the stretch in the three path and improved position. IRIE MAN was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. SOLO EMPIRE was urged along off the pace, dropped from the three to the two path while getting closer on the turn, turned into the stretch in the three path and came up empty. BASIC TRUTH settled off the pace, was roused while inside on the turn, came into the stretch in the two path and failed to respond.
