MAXIMUS MERIDIUS coaxed from the gate, cut the pace from the two path coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat to the outside, had that rival drift out under a left handed crop and gamely fought on to prevail by a neck. RUNNINSONOFAGUN four then three wide in pursuit, came under urging at the three-eighths, angled four to five wide into upper stretch receiving a tap to the right shoulder with the crop straightened away, rallied to issue a challenge, the rider switching the crop to the left hand at the three-sixteenths, latched on the leader a furlong out, shied and drifted out under a left handed crop and when shown a left handed crop two paths before getting on near even terms a sixteenth out, then continued to shy and drift out an additional three to four paths continuing under a left handed crop while fighting on and was bested by a neck. FULL MOON MADNESS broke a half a beat slow and lost his lane to MAXIMUS MERIDIUS, who was safely clear, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, kept on to procure the show honors. COASTAL MISSION broke in a step brushing CASTLE CHAOS, chased three wide coming under urging at the three-eighths, angled five wide into upper stretch, stayed on one paced through to the finish. CASTLE CHAOS got brushed at the start by COASTAL MISSION, who broke in a step, chased three then two wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, angled six wide into upper stretch, made no impact. NELSON AVENUE chased three then two wide under coaxing from three furlongs out, cornered three wide into upper stretch, faltered in the drive.
