Footnotes
BERNIE GOES BOOM was well placed just off the pace, brushed with a foe late on the backstretch, drafted inside to the two path on the turn, was kept in behind horses by his rallying stablemate at the five-sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path outside the quarter-pole then was roused, rallied in the five path into upper stretch, took the lead into the final furlong, moved clear into the final sixteenth then swapped back to his inside lead and proved best under strong handling. WELL SUITED was hustled to the front then contested the pace under coaxing, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the turn, was urged along on that bend, lost the advantage in upper stretch, fought with two foes until near the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished but gamely earned the place. DAMAGE was urged along off the pace, rallied in the four then three path on the turn, closed well to make a bid outside the leaders at the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead in the four path near the three-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to his stablemate into the final furlong, fought until near the sixteenth-pole and was out-kicked then just missed the place while well clear for the show. BELMONT UNION was hustled from the gate then settled towards the rear, dropped from the two path to the rail while roused early on the turn, came out in upper stretch then drifted in around the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. WILLINGNESS pressed the pace, moved from the three path to the two path early on the turn, vied on even terms for the lead going around that bend, spun into the three path into upper stretch and weakened. TINO IN TOGA chased the pace on the outside, dropped back in the four then three path on the turn and capitulated. KLIMT MASTER was hustled from the gate, moved up to contest the pace on the inside, dropped back late on the backstretch then was taken in hand after brushing with an opponent and retreated. FOLLOWING THE RACE, THE RIDER OF KLIMT MASTER CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE WINNER ALLEGING INTERFERENCE LATE ON THE BACKSTRETCH. AFTER THE STEWARDS' REVIEW, NO CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH
