LA GROTTE chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement at the three-eighths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and loosely split rivals in the late stages to get up in the final jumps and score. SHAMAN PRINCESS chased three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung three to four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command inside the eighth pole, dug in under threat and was caught in the last strides to the finish. Following an equipment fix behind the gate of the blinkers, ALLEY'S SONG broke in brushing the near side stall and then bumping MO DAMORNINGGROUCH, chased four then three wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five to six wide into upper stretch, dug in and fought on to the end. SHORT SHIFT established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside coming under pressure from a pair five-sixteenths from home, spun just off the inside set down into upper stretch, got collared inside the eighth pole and weakened in the late going. ACCELERINA chased two to three wide under coaxing from three furlongs out, cornered three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. POLITICAL SPIN chased five then four wide under coaxing from the three-eighths, angled six wide into upper stretch, tired. TROUBLED LUCK chased along the inside and then just off the inside under a ride from the three-eighths, angled out seven wide into upper stretch, made no impact. MO DAMORNINGGROUCH got bumped at the start by ALLEY'S SONG, who broke inwards, showed brief speed inside before chasing along the inside, came under urging midway on the turn, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch and tired.
