Footnotes
FLUFF THE PILLOW dropped from the four path to the three path on the first turn, contested the pace on the outside of two foes, vied in the three path while asked on the far turn, dueled with BAD BOY BUTCH until near the sixteenth-pole, fought with two foes late, bumped with the runner-up nearing the wire and narrowly prevailed under strong urging. VERY SATISFACTORY was hustled from the gate, raced in the three to four path on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace on the outside, chased in the four path on the far turn, pursued the leading duo under a drive into the final furlong, gained to make a bid into the final sixteenth, bumped with the winner late and just missed while narrowly able to get the show. BAD BOY BUTCH hit the inside of the gate then bobbled at the start, came out early and made light contact with a foe, dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, contested the pace between horses, was urged along in the two path on the far turn, dueled with the winner until near the sixteenth-pole, fought on well inside of the top two late and just missed while able to get the show. TRUE CONNECTION moved from the two path to the three path early on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the far turn, was asked near the five-sixteenths pole then shifted to the three path, moved out a bit under a drive in upper stretch, chased into the final sixteenth, swapped back to his inside lead late and lacked the needed kick. NOBLE ONE broke in and brushed the gate then bobbled slightly while last away, bumped with a rival early, dropped from the three path to the rail on the first turn, moved out with six furlongs to run, was urged along at the rear, went around the far turn in the four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. BELMONT UNION was sent hard from the gate, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the first turn, contested the pace on the inside of two opponents, came under urging late on the backstretch, vied inside on the far turn, dropped back late on that bend then moved to the two path and tired. LIMITS OF POWER was hustled from the gate then bumped and forced out early, steadied off heels at that point, saved ground on the first turn, was urged along on the backstretch, rounded the far turn in the two path and was no factor. TIZ THE PRINCE angled in nearing the first turn, dropped from the two path to the rail late on that bend, was ridden along on the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn and nothing left.
