PLAY THE GRAY came inward at the start, settled off the pace, was asked near the seven-sixteenths pole, gained in the four then three path on the turn, made a bid outside the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead in upper stretch, shook clear under a drive into the final furlong and drew away under steady urging to prove much the best. CAPT JAX PARROW broke in and bumped hard with a foe, moved up to press the pace inside the three-quarter pole, took the lead leaving the backstretch, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was asked under threat at the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch and proved no match while well clear for the place. FINES CREEK settled on the outside, was roused in the five then four path on the turn, chased into the stretch and tired while able to get the show. DAYTONA MOONSHINE was last to commence, settled at the rear, raced in the two to three path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. STIMULI leaned in and bumped with an opponent at the start, was urged along off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the two to three path and failed to respond. JUST CHEESY bumped with a rival at the start then tossed his head, moved up under urging with six furlongs to run, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and faltered. STATE PARK stumbled at the start then bumped soundly with a rival while also bumping with another foe, tracked the pace on the outside, dropped back under urging with five furlongs to run, came up empty in the six path on the turn and retreated then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. MARVELOUS RICHARD was bumped in the hindquarters at the start, went to the front and showed the way, lost the advantage leaving the backstretch, came up empty along the rail on the turn and stopped then was eased in the stretch but walked off. PER HISA RULING, DAYTONA MOONSHINE WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FOURTH AND MADE UNPLACED DUE TO A RIDING CROP VIOLATION
