Footnotes
GENERAL BANKER was well placed just off the pace, moved up inside of the leader with five furlongs to run, took the advantage inside the nine-sixteenths pole, vied inside of a foe while along the rail on the turn, was asked inside the three-eighths pole, turned into upper stretch under a strong hand-ride then came under a right-handed crop, switched to a left-handed crop near the furlong marker then began to drift out and held gamely under strong urging. EXPECTED VALUE was urged along off the pace, moved closer near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased while moving from the rail to the three path on the turn, made a bid in upper stretch, drifted out between the three-sixteenths pole and the eighth-pole, battled outside of the winner to the finish and missed while able to get the place. MAGICAL WAYS stumbled at the start but broke with the field, was urged along off the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path on the turn, swung out to the four path into the stretch, moved further out behind a drifting foe before the eighth-pole, chased outside while in a good striking position in the final furlong but flattened out and lacked the needed kick while able to secure the show. DOC SULLIVAN bumped with a rival at the start, was coaxed along just off the pace, dropped back in the three path on the turn, kept on in the final furlong and earned the last spot in the superfecta. WINIT broke a step slow, moved out while in hand early then settled towards the back, was urged while shifting from the four path to the six path on the turn and improved position. DUKE OF GLOUCESTER broke out at the start, settled on the outside, was roused in the four then five path on the turn and lacked the needed response. CASCAIS bumped with an opponent at the start then was hustled to the front, lost the lead inside the nine-sixteenths pole then pressed on the outside, vied in the two path on the turn, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, battled inside of foes while remaining on his inside lead into the final furlong and tired. RUNGIUS raced just off the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the four path on the turn and came up empty. CLASSIC LEGACY settled off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn and failed to respond.
