Footnotes
ATTORNEY WADE broke a step slow, was urged along on the outside, gained in the four path to make a bid early on the turn, dropped to the three path later on that bend, took the lead coming to the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in the four path, shook clear of the runner-up near the furlong marker and drew away under steady urging to prove much the best. COUNTER MOVE bumped with a rival at the start, disputed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, battled with the winner until near the furlong marker then proved no match while clear for the place. DEAR CHAIRMAN bumped with a rival at the start, was urged along towards the back, went around the turn in the four then three path, turned into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and improved for the show. OMAHA PISTOL was urged along early then raced just off the pace, chased in the two path for most of the turn then shifted to the three path and came up empty. ISLAND CHARLIE broke a half-step slow, was urged along early then taken in hand near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the three then four path on the turn, was driven into the stretch in the five path while under the crop and lacked the needed response. MONTAUK MEMOIRS broke in and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, was urged along while well behind the rest of the field, rounded the turn in the two path and was no factor. KINGS AND QUEENS showed speed then contested the pace on the inside of a rival, vied in the two path early on the turn, lost the advantage midway through that bend, dropped to the rail around the five-sixteenths pole and faded. SOLVENCY broke a step slow, was urged along towards the rear, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond.
