FADE TO GREY established the front and showed the way in hand along the inside, came under challenge near the quarter pole and got set down spinning two to three wide into upper stretch, repelled the challenger inside the eighth pole and dug in to edged away in the late stages to the finish. BELLA QUEEN chased three then two wide advancing on the leader inside the five-sixteenths to bid for command swinging four wide into upper stretch, shied out under a left handed crop a furlong out two paths and then shied out nearing the sixteenth marker when placed to a left handed crop three paths and was rebuffed to the finish while well clear of the rest and along second best. JUST MUSIC three wide in pursuit, came under coaxing three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. SWEETEST PRINCESS chased along the inside and then just off the inside under coaxing from the half mile pole, angled four to five wide at the top of the stretch, tired. BARBRATINA broke through the gate prior to the start, the rider keeping a strong hold on the reins when dismounted to keep his charge from running off, reloaded and got coaxed from the gate, chased three to four wide coming under urging at the seven-sixteenths, continued three to four wide into upper stretch losing ground, faltered and was eased home to the wire, then walked off under her own power.
