TARPAULIN got bumped at the start by the breaking inwards GOODBYE and in turn bumped CALL ME CALVIN into WAITING FOR A.I. and conceded four lengths to the front, chased five then four wide advancing on the leader midway on the turn in tandem with a pair of rivals and came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, took command swinging six wide into upper stretch, drew clear under a drive to prevail. SOLO MIO broke on top and dueled with PERFECT SHEPHARD from the three path down the backstretch, tucked to the two path into the turn and shook off that rival inside the seven-sixteenths before being confronted by an additional pair midway, yielded the front and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to secure the place honors. NINE N FOUR got bumped at the start by the lunging SO SPIRITED then got bumped by KING SOLOMON and was clipped behind by SO SPIRITED when that rival was pinched out, conceded five lengths to the front before settling into stride, chased three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors in a good effort. MONTE AVI stumbled at the start but only lost about a length of ground to the top, chased along the inside coming under prolonged encouragement from the half mile pole, went nine wide into upper stretch and improved position to the finish. SO SPIRITED lunged at the break bumping NINE N FOUR, then got bumped solidly and pinched back by KING SOLOMON breaking inwards and clipped the back of NINE N FOUR bobbling heavily, conceded seven to eight lengths to the front before being able to settle into stride, chased three paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked inside through the turn, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and showed good courage to pass tired rivals through to the wire. GOODBYE broke in at the start bumping TARPAULIN into CALL ME CALVIN and causing a chain of bumps down through WAITING FOR A.I., chased four then three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and tired. PERFECT SHEPHARD dueled from the two path with SOLO MIO to his outside down the backstretch, tucked inside into the turn, got shaken off inside the seven-sixteenths and came under a ride at the three-eighths, went six then five wide into upper stretch and tired. WAITING FOR A. I. got bumped by CALL ME CALVIN at the start due to pressure from GOODBYE breaking in from the outside and conceded five to six lengths to the front, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, went six to seven wide into upper stretch and tired. KING SOLOMON broke in at the start bumping SO SPIRITED and then NINE N FOUR squeezing out and back that first rival, chased two to three wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, went four wide for home and made no impact. CALL ME CALVIN got bumped at the start by TARPAULIN due to pressure from GOODBYE and in turn bumped WAITING FOR A.I. and conceded four to five lengths to the front, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn pushed along from the seven-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch and faltered.
