Footnotes
MURSAL showed speed on the inside of two foes then set the pace, moved clear along the rail early on the turn, dictated terms into upper stretch, responded well when set down outside the furlong marker, was kept to the task under a strong hand-ride while flagged with the crop into the final forty yards then was put to lighter encouragement while much the best. LUNA MOTH showed speed between horses then prompted the pace on the outside of the leader, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the two path on the turn, pursued the winner in the stretch and was second best. TONED UP settled off the pace, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the two path, swung out to the five path into upper stretch and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. WHISTLER'S STYLE dropped back under urging early then moved out, lagged at the rear, dropped in leaving the backstretch, shifted from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into upper stretch in the seven path and failed to rally. KARA PARA settled towards the rear, was urged along passing the five-eighths pole, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond. LOOKS FIRST was hustled from the gate, showed speed then stalked the pace on the outside, chased in the three then four path on the turn, dropped back in the six path into upper stretch, drifted in inside the three-sixteenths pole then swapped to her proper lead and capitulated.
