GOOD COP broke in then was corrected by the rider, moved up to be well placed while rated under restraint, tugged keenly on the bit passing the five-eighths pole, was hard held while rank behind horses under restraint at the nine-sixteenths pole , drafted inside to the two path on the turn, was given his cue near the five-sixteenths pole, rallied in the three path while finding room into the stretch, chased under a drive into the final furlong, gained to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole, fought with the runner-up to the finish and held under strong urging. POWERED BY COAL showed speed between horses, dropped back nearing the three-quarter pole then moved to the outside, gained to make a bid in the three path on the turn, took a short lead at the quarter-pole, lost the advantage in upper stretch, fought on well in the final furlong, battled on even terms with the winner coming to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. BECK'S DREAMER was bumped at the start then forced in and dropped back, moved in with five furlongs to run, gained under urging while shifting from the two path to the four path on the turn, rallied to the lead in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished while able to get the show. NOGUCHI was hustled from the gate, contested the pace on the inside of an opponent, was asked late on the backstretch, vied along the rail while inside of two foes on the turn, lost the advantage coming to the quarter-pole, battled inside several rivals under a drive into the final sixteenth and weakened.
