Footnotes
COMBATANT'S SONG bumped with a rival at the start, moved up to press the pace on the inside with five furlongs to run, vied along the rail on the turn, dueled with the runner-up in upper stretch, disposed of that foe into the final furlong and drew clear under steady urging. BENGALESE showed speed and set the pace on the outside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, dueled with the winner in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened but just held the place. KHALI'S STORM chased the pace on the outside then in the three path on the turn, pursued the leader under a drive into the final furlong and just missed the place while well clear for the show. GRAN JUDGEMENT bumped with an opponent at the start and was off a step slow, angled out early then was urged along on the outside, dropped back leaving the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the four path and came up empty. SCORING POINTS broke a step slow, was urged along on the outside, dropped from the three path to the inside on the turn, checked off the heels of a foe outside the furlong marker, eventually moved around that opponent outside the sixteenth-pole and failed to threaten. NOT TAPPING was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, moved in at the back under urging, shifted from the rail to the two path on the turn and failed to respond.
