PHILEAS FOGG bumped with a rival at the start, drifted out while showing speed on the inside of a foe then was taken back off the pace nearing the wire for the first time, raced in the three to four path on the first turn, followed the solo leader from second, moved closer late on the backstretch, gained the advantage in the four path midway through the far turn then dropped to the three path while moving clear, was roused while extending the advantage into upper stretch, came under the crop outside the furlong marker and drew away under strong urging. CLASSIC CATCH bumped with a rival at the start, saved ground while crowded some along the rail on the first turn, settled towards the rear, came off the rail outside the five-eighths pole, was urged along in the two then three path on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and finished willingly for the place. MASMAK angled in early, dropped from the three path to the two path very early on the first turn, settled off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, was roused while shifting from the rail to the two path outside the three-eighths pole, turned into upper stretch in the three path while under a drive and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. CRUPI broke in and bumped with an opponent, raced in the two path on the first turn, settled at the rear, was urged along in the three then two path on the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, remained on his left lead until the furlong marker then swapped to the proper lead and failed to threaten. BATTEN DOWN bumped with foes on both sides at the start, was taken in hand early, raced in the four to five path on the first turn, settled on the outside, moved closer late on the backstretch, was roused in the five path on the far turn and came up empty. CURBSTONE went three wide on the first turn, settled off the pace, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths pole, traveled around the far turn in the three then four path, passed the quarter-pole in the five path, drifted out under a left-handed crop in upper stretch and failed to respond. MAMA'S GOLD stumbled at the start then bumped with a foe, was sent hard to the front then went clear, opened up a sizable advantage in the two path, shortened stride with five furlongs to run, lost the advantage in the two path midway through the far turn then dropped to the rail and tired.
