TWENTY FOUR MAMBA cut the pace from the two path under pressure from GENERAL PARTNER to the outside, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and got let out spinning four wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat from flanking challengers to the eighth pole, shook off his main pace rival inside that station confronted inside by TOXIC GRAY, responded gamely and stubborn clinging to command dueling through to the finish and held by a head on the wire. TOXIC GRAY coaxed from the gate, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under urging at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, rallied up the inside to engage the aforementioned foe in head to head combat through the final furlong, fought game to the inside but was ultimately denied at the finish. GENERAL PARTNER brushed the off side stall at the start when breaking outwards, advanced on the leader to prompt the pace from the outside four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, swung five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive latched on to the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages and was shaken off by the top pair while clear for the show honors. VICTORY WAY chased four paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked two to three wide through the turn and was ridden along with seven-sixteenths remaining, angled out six wide at the head of the stretch, weakened in the final furlong. BRAMITO chased three then two wide under a ride from the three-eighths pole, cornered three wide at the top of the lane, weakened in the stretch. GUN IT chased just off the inside and then along the inside pushed along three furlongs out, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, tired.
