VALENZAN DAY coaxed from the gate, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and through the turn coming under encouragement at the three-eighths marker, advanced on the front in tandem with CUMBERLAND BLUES to his inside, swung seven wide into upper stretch, rallied outside the top pair a furlong out, seized command forty yards from the finish and inched away in the late going. ALLURE OF MONEY five then four wide in pursuit, advanced on the leader from the three-eighths in concert with EMPTY TOMB, seized command nearing the quarter pole and got set down spinning four to five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive under threat from a pair a furlong out, got caught forty yards from the finish while along clear for the place honors. CUMBERLAND BLUES coaxed from the gate, chased two then three wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths pole and advancing on the front together with VALENZAN DAY to his outside, swung six wide into upper stretch, rallied to latch on the leader a furlong out, dug in under a drive shaken off a sixteenth from home and angled out a path before keeping on to the finish well clear of the rest for the show honors.
