Footnotes
DEAR CHAIRMAN came inward just after the start, moved in while going to the front then showed the way with a clear advantage, dictated terms in the two path on the turn, extended the advantage late on that bend, was roused into upper stretch and drew off under a strong drive to prove much the best. PALACE BOSS tracked the pace on the outside, was asked in the three path on the turn, chased the winner into the stretch and proved no match while able to get the place. TWOHONESTMISCHIEF settled off the pace, was roused while moving from the rail to the four path on the turn and lacked the needed response while along for the show. DOMINICAN PIRATE bumped with a rival at the start, was urged along off the pace, moved out near the nine-sixteenths pole, traveled around the turn in the three path, turned into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and failed to threaten. FERRIS MULER settled off the pace, dropped back leaving the backstretch, was urged along in the three then two path on the turn, came out a bit into the stretch and failed to respond. MONTAUK MEMOIRS brushed with a rival at the start while carried in, moved in then was well placed just off the pace, dropped back along the rail on the turn and came up empty. TAP IT EASY broke a step slow, was urged along on the outside, dropped back in the four then five path on the turn and faltered. SOLO MIO brushed with a rival at the start while coming inward, settled off the pace, dropped back near the three-quarter pole then climbed, fell well off the pace, raced in the two path on the turn and was no factor. DR. BARRY broke out and bumped with a rival, was urged along at the rear, suffered an injury to his left foreleg late on the backstretch and was pulled up then transported off the track via equine ambulance.
